We had a few quiet days down at J+J’s, we stayed local enjoying beautiful beaches and glorious sunsets all within minutes of Illogen, Ten of us by Sunday had  gathered at J+J’s cottage sharing food and just enjoying simple things like building a sand dam or jumping in the waves.

We set of for the Devon bunk house on the Monday where C1’s family joined us, and then we were fifteen. As last year each of us provided an evening meal Monday pasta and garlic bread, Tuesday Dahl, cauliflower rice, chilli, spinach pepper onion mix and salad, Wednesday filled wraps and salsa, Thursday meal in a bap, Friday baked potatoes using fillings of anything that needed using up. GD and I managed to keep in our £65 budget over the ten days while we were away, so we did good!.We had farm fresh milk and potatoes and butter and fresh laid eggs that we had to wait for while they were collected from the nests. It was refreshing to be having a simple holiday first just chilling with family and swimming in the sea and then enjoying family games like skittles, archery, ping pong and bowling, we spent lots of time in the pool at the bunk house, and farmer even came down with a target sheet for our archery to go on the round bale target. We did pop over to Meldon Dam just a stones throw from Galford and was well worth a visit, it is breathtaking and free.We had the later evening time set aide for watching all the star war films, one per night, in chronological order after Richards ice cream bar and the hot chocolate run had finished. Hope you like the pics
