Christmas and New year was our first in the new cottage. Our Youngest is back until new term February begins for him in Prague, his brother and girlfriend came to stay over the christmas and eldest boy and his family arrived 27th to spend New years with us. Our local lad and daughter in law were over lots, as we all shared in food and games, long walks and each others company.
It all began with lots of cooking.
And making of decorations.
Lighting up our bargain 10p Christmas tree.
Chopping kindling for the fire.
Pretty coloured lights on Molly’s tree.
Hanging up the stockings and skyping the whole family for GD’s annual rendition of ‘It was the night before Christmas’.
And Christmas cake.
Welcome to the clan Georgie.
Lovely pic of the birds down at the beach on one of our walks.
Surfers out Christmas eve.
New Years Eve. Our Yule log.
And our chocolate one !.
Family New Years day walk.
GD and Max.
Max, Jacob and Willow, having fun on the beach at Portreath.
New Years day swimmers, no wet suit! .
Love our coast in the winter, Porthtowan.
Caves, Porthchapel st Agnes.
My thoughts for the New Year are to live simply and lay down good traditions so that our children and their children will have strong memories and a sense of who they are, where they came from and have an identity of belonging to something more than selves.
