Frugal Pantry Challenge Jan 2018, day 3, (last day of inventory and prepping). The kitchen Cupboards!

Today is a pretty busy day being new Years Eve so instead of listing every single item in the kitchen I am posting some pics of my cupboards and shelves and as we go through the month I am planning on these emptying by all the ingredients being used in the meals I will be preparing, so at the end I should be able to get a good  listing done and work out which items I will restock on that I am really going to use on a regular basis.

The whole theme for 2018 is simplify and declutter!.

Today we are having a chicken roast midday using up the last of the chicken, all the brussels and fresh carrots, most of the potatoes, a packet of stuffing, most of the gravy granules and we have made our own yorkshire puddings, there is still xmas cake, pudding and ice cream to use up (please let it be gone soon) anyone else feel like that? and then after I have made the sausage rolls and fairy cakes for tonight’s celebration GD and I are heading over to my eldest sons house for New Year’s evening celebrations with my daughter in law, two grandsons, my youngest two sons and the second youngest’s girlfriend.

My hall of shame!

There is also a considerable amount of soft drinks, and a lot of alcohol and chocolate that we received over xmas, but lets go out on a healthier note- the fruit bowl,

In my defense I do feed a hoard regularly, we are 5 normally, seven once or twice a week and 11 around my table for meals at the weekend is not unusual, when everyone is here for special occasions we are sixteen, having said that I am still amazed at how quickly I have dissolved into such a mess everywhere. So looking forward to getting straighter in all areas of my life next year.

I wish everyone a blessed new Year. Let make 2018 a great year!
